Finite Element Modelling of CFRP wrapped Concrete Specimens Subjected to Localised Axial Compression

چکیده

The strengthening and rehabilitation of reinforced concrete structures using Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) wrapping is most common. Recently, this method was used in the deteriorated columns, pier girder bridges corbels that are subjected to localised axial compression. numerical simulation which verified by experimental works minimizes time cost get internal behaviours structures. This study an attempt numerically investigate performance CFRP wrapped specimens compressive loading conditions. finite element modelling ABAQUS software adopted study. FEM results show good agreement with data. behaviour core were extensively studied. indicated improves load carrying capacity increases dissipation energy increasing deformation subsequently behave more ductile. fully cylinder a smaller area exhibits higher (119%) exposed specimen, while cube (size:75 mm) about(52%) than cube.
